Pictor - Painter's Easel

The painter lies south of Columba, between Canopus and the South Pole of the ecliptic in Dorado. It is sometimes called the “Painter’s Easel.”

Equuleus Pictoris, introduced by Lacaille in 1750, contains little interest to astronomers.
